It is one of the six abodes of Lord Murugan and attracts devotees and tourists alike. The temple’s rock-cut architecture, intricate carvings, and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape make it a captivating place to visit.

Mariamman Teppakulam: This is a large temple tank located about 5 kilometers east of the Meenakshi Amman Temple. It is known for its annual float festival, during which the deities from Meenakshi Amman Temple are taken in a procession to the tank for a colorful boat ride.

Food and Cuisine: Madurai is renowned for its delicious and flavorful cuisine. Don’t miss the opportunity to savor the local specialties such as idli, dosa, appam, and the famous Madurai Jigarthanda, a refreshing sweet beverage.
