Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival Dehradun Airport

Welcome to Chardham yatra. Arrival from Dehradun Airport assist by ITT executive and move to Dehradun hotel.Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02: Dehradun – Barkot

Morning after breakfast checkout and Drive to Jankichatti via Mussoorie. Enroute visit Kempty Fall and others later drive straight to your Hotel for night halt in Jankicahtti.

Day 03: Barkot – Yamunotri – Jankichatti

Drive to Hanuman Chatti, for Janki chatti (It helps to reduce the trek upto 8 kms), trek start from here to Yamunotri (6kms). Either by walk or by horse or by Doli at own cost. Arr. Yamunotri, One can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the hot kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as “Prasad”. Here near the temple “Pooja” can be offered to Divya Shila, after taking bath in Jamunabai Kund’s warn water and having “Darshan” of pious “Yamunaji” returning to Hanumanchatti. Later drive back to Barkot. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Hanuman Chatti: The confluence of Hanuman Ganga & Yamuna River.
Yamunotri Temple: Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the temple in the 19th Century. It was destroyed twice in the present century and rebuilt again.
Surya Kund: There are a Number of thermal springs in the vicinity of the temple, which flows into numerous pools. The most important of these is Surya Kund.
Divya Shila: A rock pillar, worshipped before entering the Yamunotri Temple.

Day 04: Jankichatti – Uttarkashi

Morning after breakfast, move to Uttarkashi. Check into the hotel reached in Uttarkashi. Visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Uttarkashi. Stay overnight at the Uttarkashi.

Uttarkashi is home to a number of ashrams, temples. The name of the town reflects its similarity to and location (as north of) the city of Kashi (Varanasi). Similar to Varanasi, town of Uttarkashi is also situated on the banks of River Ganga.

Vishwanath temple – Vishwanath temple is one of the oldest Shiva temples in Northern India. Re-built in 1857 by Maharani Khaneti Devi of Tehri State in the ancient architectural style. It is situated at the heart of the town. A heavy iron trident, symbolic of divine mother’s, is erected and worshiped from time immemorial at the temple complex. Ganeshji, Sakshi Gopal, Markandeya Rishi’s small shrines are also part of the temple complex. Akhand Jyoti as well as Akhand Abhishek, special aarti at morning and evening are offered. As per Skunda Puran, Uttarkashi is known as ‘Saumya Varanasi’, the abode of Lord Shiva in Kaliyug and counted as one of the twelve Jyotirlingas.

Shakti temple – Right in front of the Vishwanath temple is Shakti temple. It has a big ‘Trishul (Trident)’ of about 6 meters in height and a circumference of 90 cms. at bottom. Though there are different views about the making of this, the upper part of it seems to be made up of iron and the lower one is of copper. As per the epics this Shakti was thrown on the devils by the Goddess Durga (Shakti), hence it gets its name. Since then this Shakti is erected over here.

Uttarkashi Weather – Generally hot in summer, the temperature ranges from 30-35 degree Celsius but nights is pleasant, cold in winters.

Day 05: Uttarkashi- Gangotri- Uttarkashi

Early morning (5:00 AM) drive to Gangotri. At Gangotri take a holy dip in the river Ganga, It’s also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Then go for Temple darshan, after temple darshan drive back to Uttarkashi for overnight stay.

Day 06: Uttarkashi – Guptkashi

Morning (7:00 AM) after breakfast check out from the hotel and then drive to Guptkashi via Tehri Dam. On arrival at Guptkashi check-in the hotel, in evening we will visit the famous temple of Kashi –Vishwnath at Guptkashi. After temple darshan back to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 07: Guptkashi-Kedarnath-Guptkashi

Early morning ( 5:00 AM) check-out from the hotel and drive to Phata Helipad. From here, you will start 17 Kms by Helicopter.

Kedarnath: The Kedarnath shrine, one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is a scenic spot situated, against the backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range. Kedar is another name of Lord Shiva, the protector and the destroyer. According to legend, the Pandavas after having won over the Kaurava in the Kurukshetra war, felt guilty of having killed their own brothers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption. He eluded them repeatedly and while fleeing took refuge at Kedarnath in the form of a bull. On being followed he dived into the ground, leaving his hump on the surface. The remaining portions of Lord Shiva appeared at four other places and are worshipped there as his manifestations. The arms appeared at Tungnath, the face at Rudranath, the belly at Madhmaheshwar and his locks (hair) with head at Kalpeshwar. Kedarnath and the four above-mentioned shrines are treated as Panch Kedar. Overnight stay at the Guptkashi Hotel.

Day 08: Guptkashi – Badrinath

Morning ( 7:00 AM) after breakfast drive to Badrinath via Chopta. On arrival check-in the hotel. After a short break go for interesting sightseeing of Mana Village (the last village before the Tibetan border). Visit Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, Charanpaduka, Bhim pul and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati river. After that back to hotel, In the evening go for aarti. Overnight at hotel.

Day 09:Badrinath – Govind Ghat – Ghangaria

Early morning ( 4:00 AM ) take bath in Taptkund it’s also called Suryakund then go for temple darshan, after having temple darshan back to hotel. After breakfast check-out from hotel and proceed to Govind Ghat. From here, start 14 kms trek to Ghangaria. On arrival check-in hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 010: Ghangaria – Valley of Flower – Ghangaria

Morning (7:00) after breakfast start 4 Kms trek to Valley of Flower. After spending some time in this spectacular valley then trek down to Ghangaria for overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 11: Ghangaria – Govind Ghat – Joshimath

Morning ( 8:00 Am) after breakfast trek down to Govind Ghat. Later drive to Joshimath. On arrival check-in hotel. In evening visit the famous Raghunath Ji temple at Joshimath .Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 12: Auli – Rishikesh

Morning after breakfast drive to Rishikesh. On arrival check-in hotel at Rishikesh, take some rest and then go for sightseeing of Rishikesh city. Visit Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Raghunath temple and Geeta Bhavan.

Day 13: Rishikesh – Dehradun Airport
